Founded in 2001, Martinrea International Inc. is a diversified global automotive supplier focused on accelerating innovation in metal forming, aluminum casting, fluid systems,
and flexible assemblies to help automakers meet their lightweight requirements, while at the same time improving a vehicle’s overall strength, safety, and fuel efficiency. 

 

The company employs approximately 15,000 skilled people at more than 45 manufacturing, engineering, and technical centers in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Slovakia, Spain, South Africa, Japan, and China.

The project developed as a need to redesign the interior of their first Martinrea building in Queretaro. One of the main concerns of the company was that the staff continued to work in the building so the renovation had to be done in stages, starting with the second.

The vision for this project was to incorporate a visual identity that reflected the values of the company while improving the spaces according to the new needs and growth of the company. 

 

The mood of the space was to create an industrial yet warmth and luxurious feel throughout the spaces. The use of different metals, wood, stone, and corporative colors in the space to achieve the feeling of the space. Responsibilities: involved alongside the main architect in conducting meetings with the client, I documented the existing conditions. 

 

Responsible for the design, the production of technical drawings, renders FF&E selection, and preparing presentations and contract packages.
