The site is located in Streeterville, a developing neighborhood that contains a combination of hotels, restaurants, professional office centers, residential high rises, universities, medical facilities, and cultural venues. The site is bounded by the river on the south that connects with the Lake Michigan on the North and East.

The Urban proposal of the project was to generate an emblematic focal point that integrates the riverwalk and the E.North Water street to the building. Due to the big difference height between the street level and the riverwalk, it was proposed a  middle platform that connects them.

The proposal for the building was to generate two connected volumes which separate the program into private and public space.
